Following the conventional yearly release approach, Activision has returned this year with a new entry, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, which will be released on November 10.
However, folks who had already preordered the game got their hands into the game a week before and started bewailing about the game’s shorter playtime.
According to the reports, the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 campaign lasts 3-4 hours, which is quite a brief length for a single-player title.
Among these folks, there was a prominent Call Of Duty streamer, Marley 13, who completed the game in exactly four hours.
The game’s campaign is the shortest among the Call of Duty franchise, though its predecessor had a campaign of 8 hours, while the other titles also have a playtime of around 6-7 hours.
The game was highly anticipated due to the return of the long-awaited fan-favorite villain Makarov. However, the game doesn’t do justice to the character, and fans have already started criticizing the game.
Meanwhile, as previously, Activision asserted that the game is not a DLC and is a premium release with a price tag of 70 USD. Nevertheless, the game points to Modern Warfare 2 DLC rather than a full game.
It is believed that it’s still a DLC morphed into a full game as the game doesn’t have a meaningful story, while the missions are also less innovative and are very basic.
Previous reports claimed that the game is expected to be MW 2 DLC, while looking at the details of the game, such as a shorter campaign, lack of platinum trophies, and less innovative missions, it is justifiable for DLC rather than a premium release.
The game introduced open combat missions. However, it can’t really make these missions a worthy experience for gamers.
Nevertheless, I would suggest waiting for a discount as the 70 USD price tag is not justifiable for the title.
Meanwhile, the game holds up a massive amount of 213GB of storage on your SSD, on which the single-player campaign takes around a space of 149GB, which is quite shocking with the current short campaign of the game.

By looking at the previous masterpieces of Call of Duty, It’s really disappointing to see a successful franchise like Call of Duty releasing this kind of title. However, Microsoft has already acquired Activision, so it’s worth waiting to see how it will continue the franchise.
Nonetheless, Activision is pursuing the concept of reused maps further as the forthcoming Call of Duty 2024 details have already leaked, while one of the most prominent revelations was the inclusion of remastered maps from the Black Ops series.
