Hello Games released No Man’s Sky, a survival title in procedural galaxies, in 2016. Although the game appears good, the reception was poor, as it launched to overwhelmingly negative reviews on Steam. However, the developers’ efforts finally paid off, as after a massive eight-year lifespan, the Sci-fi has reached mostly positive reviews on Steam.
This is truly a massive milestone for developers, and the creator Sean Murray showed his happiness and gratitude to the fans for helping them reach this new height.
“you have no idea what this means to us.”

During the first four months of the game’s release, it was bombed with over 56,000 negative reviews on Steam. Although it sounds disappointing for the developers, they didn’t lose hope and continued working on the updates to make it better.
After the consistent efforts of two years, it reached mixed reviews on Steam, and after 6 more years, it has finally reached the point that developers were hoping for, with mostly positive reviews on Steam.
The biggest updates were Worlds Part 1 and Aquarius updates, which contributed over 15,000 positive impressions while the other updates Waypoint, Beyond, and Origins also helped it to get a resurgence at this level.
