Everyone is wondering about Naughty Dog’s next game and the silence of the studio since there is no new project after the release of Last of Us Part 2. However, today we have found some hints about the studio’s next game. Naughty Dog is working on a new Uncharted game that has been in development for three years.
A renowned insider, DanielRPK thanks to GamePost, said that Naughty Dog is working on an unannounced title and cleared that it is not Last of Us Part 3; instead, it is led by Uncharted: The Lost Legacy director Shaun Escayg. Hence, this highly suggests that a new Uncharted title is in the works.
Meanwhile, what is interesting is that this project has moved quite advanced in development as it has been in development for three years. This means that we might see the announcement of the new Uncharted game soon.
Similarly, another report said that a new Uncharted game featuring Nathan Drake’s daughter Cassie is in development, which further corroborates the possibility of a new Uncharted title. All in all, these are leaks and rumors, so take it with a grain of salt.
The last Uncharted title was Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, so the director of the title has a lot of recent experience with the franchise. Hence, it can deliver a worthy addition to this highly liked franchise.
That said, Naughty Dog is also working on its sci-fi action adventure title Intergalatic: The Heretic Prophet, whose release has not been announced; however, sources suggest that it will release in 2027. Hence, there will be no new Naughty Dog to release this year.
