Like every year, Apple is gearing up for its new smartphone, iPhone 15 Pro Max. The phone was already trending before its release, and it is the highly anticipated smartphone of the year.
The release date of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is not official; however, leaks suggest that the phone will likely launch on September 13.
Previously, it was revealed that the iPhone 15 Pro Max is transitioning from a lightning port to USB-C. However, charger lab specialists have figured out something new from the components pictures of the iPhone.
The pics revealed a new integrated circuit which is ultimately a Retimer chip, suggesting that iPhone 15 Pro Max will have high-speed 40Gbs Thunderbolt data transmission.
At present, iPhones are equipped with USB 2.0 technology, which facilitates data transmission at a speed of 480 megabits per second. However, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will support Thunderbolt, enabling a remarkable data transmission speed of 40,000 megabits per second. This is a substantial improvement over previous iPhone models.
The Thunderbolt capabilities present a significant advancement compared to previous iPhone models. Its impressive features include reduced charging time, rapid data transfer, and efficient backups at high speeds.
As per the recent regulations introduced by the European Commission, it has been mandated that all smartphones sold after the fall of 2024 should adopt USB-C as the standard charging method, replacing the previously used charging methods. So, the iPhone’s transition to USB-C was in accordance with the rules. This move is expected to bring about a significant shift in the charging technology landscape and provide a more standardized and efficient charging experience for users.
Apart from the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the integrated chip is also integrated into two other models of iPhone 15, such as the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15.
Furthermore, the next generation Apple bionic chip A17 is exclusive to iPhone 15 pro models, while there are also other rumors about the features, which include Wi-Fi 6E, periscope lens, 6.1 and 6.7-inch OLED display, and many more.
