Crux Of The Story

  • Sony’s ambitious exclusive Concord failed astronomically.
  • However, it seems that Xbox is doing well with its latest exclusive, as Indiana Jones early access has even more players than Concord’s all-time peak.
  • Indiana Jones is set to release on December 9, and based on the reviews, the title launch will be huge.

Sony’s recent first-party title Concord, a multiplayer FPS shooter was thought to be a success but became the worst failure of the year. However, Xbox’s upcoming first-party title Indiana Jones, which is set to release on December 9, already looks promising.

The game’s early access is available now, and looking at the Steam statistics of the title, it has way more concurrent players in the early access than Sony’s Concord all-time peak.

At the time of writing, Indiana Jones has 2,481 players in the game and is inclining, while the all-time peak of Concord was 697 players, this illustrates that the Xbox first-party title proves to be a worthwhile title. On the other hand, Sony’s Concord isn’t an exclusive that fans were expecting.

Meanwhile, the reviews of Indiana also dropped and the title was received incredibly well as major outlets gave him above-average scores, such as IGN 9, Gamespot 9, and others. The Metacritic score is also impressive, at 87. So, we can predict from the critics that the game’s launch will be huge.

It’s worth mentioning that it’s not a Sony troll post. It’s merely a comparison post for both competitors’ latest releases. Sony already has great first-party IPs like God Of War, Last Of Us, and others.
