Baldur’s Gate 3, one of the highly acclaimed RPG titles that has also won a game of the year 2023, has some issues on Xbox. Because of that, it was delayed on Xbox; however, it was finally released in December.
Baldur’s Gate 3’s Split screen issue, caused by the low power of Series S, was the culprit behind the game’s delay on Xbox; hence, it was released without this feature on Series S.
However, today, Larian released the final 8th patch for the game, and we found some interesting things in it. The patch finally includes that highly controversial split screen feature on Series S with cooperative play as well.
It’s worth noting that this patch has restricted access, which is because Larain wants to try split screen performance on Series S before making it publicly live. Xbox Insider program has access to this stress testing feature, so if you are a member, you can try Baldur’s Gate 3 Split screen mode.
Furthermore, the new patch has some new features, such as 12 new subclasses, photo mode, new abilities, VFX, summons, cantrips, and much more.
All in all, it is good to see that Larian is finally considering Xbox Series S players, given that split screen is really a fun mode for co-op play, and Series S didn’t have this privilege.
