Apple Will Bring USB-C On AirPods And AirPods Max by 2024

Apple has been phenomenal in its products, such as its smartphones, MacBooks, iPads, Watches, and AirPods.

Elaborating on its Airpods, Apple has two editions of Airpods: the standard edition and the pro edition.

The Pro edition has two installments, while the third AirPods Pro 3 will be released in September 2024.

USB-C is the future of USB port as it results in faster charging and data transfer and most devices are already equipped with it.

The Apple devices that have USB-C include iPad Air, iPad Pro, and MacBooks. Apple smartphones lack the features, while Apple Airpods also have standard lighting ports.

However, a new leak asserts that the AirPods and AirPods Pro will be going to feature USB-C ports by 2024.

Why it matters: Apple’s AirPods are their flagship product, and the integration of USB-C technology will undoubtedly enhance the value of the product. USB-C is widely regarded as the future of charging and data transfer, and its inclusion will ensure that the Airpods remain relevant and up-to-date with the latest technological advancements.

According to Mark Gurman, a reporter for Bloomberg, Apple is going to remove the lightning port from all its devices while going to include USB-C on Airpods by 2024.

Furthermore, the Airpods Pro will get the update first, followed by the other models by the next year.

The inclusion of USB-C will bring significant improvement to the charging while also easing the use of a single charger for your Apple smartphone and AirPods.

As of now, Apple smartphones and Airpods have lightning ports. According to leaks, Apple’s upcoming smartphone, iPhone 15, will include USB-C.

Apple event is going to happen in the next week, where the USB-C will be the key feature of the iPhone 15 series.

Meanwhile, at Apple’s event, the new AirPods Pro will be revealed. However, the latest Airpods will not get any hardware upgrades, Gurman said.
