Capcom has a history of remaking classical titles as seen with the Resident Evil Franchise. However, there is another franchise of Capcom that needs such treatment, which is Devil May Cry. Today, we have discovered the same thing that all are asking for.
According to a Redditor, Capcom is reportedly working on Devil May Cry 1 Remake. Given the original one was released in 2001, the remake of this classical title surely makes sense. Moreover, there are some details that emerged from the leak.
As per the Journalist, Capcom is developing the game with in-house Resdient Evil engine, which allows for more freedom of creativity than commercial Unreal Engine 5, used mostly by modern gaames.
Given its a remake, it will surely have graphics renovation to meet the modern visual norms. Interestingly, Capcom is also putting effort into this remake by reworking on the story as done with Resident Evil remakes.
Through the reworked story, the core story is maintained with significant changes providing fresh paint over the story. These changes include changing the context and sequence of story events, putting depth to supporting characters, and much more.
Furthemore, the leak says that Devil May Cry Remake will also integrate changes in the camera angle which will preserve the original feel of the game with renovation in angles as per new standards, making the view from players’ perspective good enough.
All in all, this news brings joy to Devil May Cry Nostalgic titles fans as the original title was really a worthy title and was praised for the best level design in the franchise. Hence, Capcom this decision will get a warm reception from fans.
It should be noted that this is a leak, not an official report so take it with a grain of salt.
