GTA 6 officially slated for 2025 release has everyone’s eyes, and the fans are looking for every minor piece of information for the title to know whether it is still slated for 2025, or it will get delayed.
We have looked out into a podcast of Ex Rockstar Animator in Kiwi Talkz who has worked on Red Dead Redemption and others. The former Exec talked about some developmental insights of GTA 6.
It’s worth noting that the interview is removed by Rockstar’s legal team now.
According to him, GTA 6 is now in the polishing phase given the build is now playable from start to finish, and the team is working on testing the play builds to eliminate the bugs of the game. Given GTA 6 is a vast open-world game, the amount of bugs in this huge world would be immense. Hence, the team is now eliminating all of them to ensure a polished bug-free game at launch.
While there’s a trend of releasing games with issues like bugs, performance issues, and others and then patching it day one or later, we think Rockstar will not do the same practice, as the studio is highly reputable and GTA 6 is really a big launch.
“They’re probably still making a few new things here and there or adding to things here and there, of course, but I would assume that the game’s probably playable now,”

Rockstar has not given any update on the title after a trailer showcased in December 2023, and we are in the 2025 early days, still, we don’t have any other trailer from Rockstar, which caused many to believe that GTA 6 might be pushed to 2026.
However, this update suggests that Rockstar is ensuring that the development of the title goes smoothly, suggesting that the game might meet the release date without any delays.
All in all, late 2025 is what everyone is waiting for to see the game’s launch. There are also reports that GTA 6 will target 30 FPS on PS5 and Xbox series and the PS5 Pro might run it at smooth 60 FPS.
