Konami Is Considering More Remakes For Silent Hill

Silent Hill Remakes

While previously, we saw Konami revisiting classical games in the form of remastered, such as Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1, which has included Metal Gear Solid 1,2 and 3. However, now Konami is transitioning its approach towards classical games in the form of remakes.

While the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater was already announced a few days back, today Konami confirmed that more remakes of the famous psychological horror franchise Silent Hill are on the way.

The revelation came through a Konami financial earning report, in which Konami mentioned that they are working on remakes for the Silent Hill series while not only the remakes but also new entries are coming in the franchise, as asserted by Konami in the report.

The remakes might be a typo. However, there is no confirmation from Konami, and while many folks have already reached Konami to clear, either it was revealed unintentionally, or it’s a typing mistake.

However, if it’s still a typo, there will be more remakes in the future as remakes of classical games are found successful, which was evident with the example of the Resident Evil 4 remake.

Konami already has a significant number of Silent Hill titles in development, such as a remake of Silent Hill 2, while Silent Hill F and Silent Hill: Townfall are also in development.

The latest Silent Hill offering, Silent Hill Ascension, was released a few days back on 31 October. However, it has got a pretty harsh reception while there were other issues in the game as well, such as technical issues; however, the inclusion of microtransactions was the main reason for outrageousness amongst fans.

It is worth noting that the Silent Hill 2 remake, which is developed by the Bloober team, is already at the end of its development, as previously asserted by the president of the Bloober team, and it seems that the game’s release is imminent.
