Sweet Baby Inc., the renowned company for making games worse by imposing forced diversity and inclusion, had its fingerprints all over the gaming industry. The consultation firm has some form of involvement in various big studios and Sony. However, today, it was leaked that Sony is finally getting rid of Sweet Baby Inc.’s involvement in its games.
According to a report by Gothic Therapy, Sony has cancelled several projects that had Sweet Baby Inc.’s involvement. While the leaker did not provide the list of canceled projects, it highlighted that the God of War Ragnarok follow-up was one of them. So, it could be a DLC, sequel, or anything else.
Similarly, we previously reported that Sony has also canceled the God of War Live Service title, so it is unknown whether this project was the same one or another one.
Sweet Baby Inc. was present in games, including Spider-Man 2 and Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice. While Spider-Man survived, the other one failed hard because of forced DEI.
Sony is not the only one that has abandoned Sweet Baby Inc.; Square Enix has also removed the company from its client list. Meanwhile, Cl Games, the developer behind Lords of The Fallen, also said that DEI hurts sales; hence, they don’t include such elements in their games.
All in all, the industry has learned lessons from DEI, which caused the failure of many games. Hence, the studios are now listening to GamerGate 2 and abandoning Sweet Baby Inc.
From Sony’s perspective, this move will allow it to abandon live service titles filled with DEI and return to its single-player narrative-driven titles. There are also reports of a new Uncharted that has been in development for three years, so Sony will now focus on such types of projects.
