Following the end of the tenure of the RTX 40 series, Nvidia’s next-gen RTX 50 Blackwell series is in the rumor mill. Previously, we reported that Team Green is highly preparing for the launch of the next-gen GPUs as it is clearing out stocks of the RTX 40 series.
However, Benchlife surfaced a leak online today. According to the report, the RTX 5070 will feature 6400 CUDA cores.
Moreover, the report also corroborated the previous rumblings about the Q1 2025 release window of the RTX 50 Blackwell series. Team Green is looking to release all RTX 50 series cards before April 2025 except the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060Ti.
Apart from the release timeline, the reports also shed light on the cards’ specifications. RTX 5070Ti will have 8960 CUDA cores, about 17 percent higher than RTX 40. Meanwhile, RTX 5070 will feature 6400 CUDA cores.
Comparing these next-gen GPUs with the current-gen GPUs, in contrast with the RTX 5070’s 6400 CUDA cores, the RTX 4070 had 5888 CUDA cores, while the RTX 4070Ti had 7680 CUDA Cores, compared to the RTX 5070Ti’s 8960 CUDA cores.
It’s worth noting that the more CUDA cores a graphics card has, the better it performs in games. This is because it renders graphics more quickly and efficiently, leading to more frames and visuals in games.
Additionally, the RTX 5070Ti is expected to have a 300TDP and 16GB of GDDR7 memory, while the RTX 5070 will have a 250TDP and 12 GB of GDDR7 memory.
While we now have some idea about the series’ specifications, the price point is still unknown. However, a leak points out a massive $1900 price for RTX 5090.
Nevertheless, take all the information with a grain of salt and wait for the official announcement, which might be made at CES 2025 in January.
