strong design leadership and experience across multiple genres, particularly Third-Person Action, Melee Brawlers, and Open World Traversal games.”
Listing Says
The details above and the focus on melee combat suggests that it could be Batman game in development at Rocksteady. And the previous claims such as shifting to single player games after Suicide Squad failure also corroborate that it’s a standalone Batman title.
The Batman series, Batman Arkham Trilogy, is the series that emphasizes melee with open-world traversal. Hence, the next Batman could be a new Batman Arkham game.
Meanwhile, there are also rumors that the next Batman game will not be available on different platforms and it will be PS5/PS6 Exclusive. The mention of PS6 is because the title is in the initial phases of development, and it could take years to release, and at that time, PS6 could be there.
All in all, it’s worth waiting for official announcements, but if it’s true, then we can say that Rocksteady is finally back on track, given that Batman Arkham is a highly liked series because of the melee, stealth abilities, different combat gadgets, and much more.
