With the complaint of having very few single-player first-party titles of PlayStation offering this generation, Ghost of Tsushima Sequel, Ghost Of Yotei was an amazing addition to the lineup, and it has been credited as the most anticipated PS5 game of 2025.
Given the hype of the title, an interesting insight has been revealed, causing concern for many. Ghost Of Yotei’s senior writers were in the development team of Bioware’s Dragon Age: The Veilguard. While Bioware is a highly proficient RPG studio, the studio’s latest title, Dragon Age Veilguard, was a misfire, and one of the big backlash was the abysmal writing.
Hence, the same writers ,John Dombrow and Courtney Woods, who scripted a failure have joined the development of Ghost of Yotei, which has sparked mixed reactions. Some will take this as an utter disappointment, while some will also show optimism, given that the writer has also worked on Mass Effect 3 and the game had no complaints of the game’s writing; even some considered it one of the best points of the title. The other works of John Dombrow and Courtney Woods include Anthem, Mass Effect Andromeda, and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
That said, the highly anticipated PS5 exclusive Ghost Of Yotei is set for a 2025 release. However, the exact details were not revealed until now. The State Of Play is rumoured to occur between Feb 9 and 15, so we might see more details of the title there.
Nonetheless, Bioware after Dragon Age: The Veilguard failure, is putting its all focus on Mass Effect 5, and we have reported that the game is still in pre-production hence take some more years to release.
