Bioware is gearing up for the release of the Dragon Age Veilguard, the new installment of its popular franchise Dragon Age, after ten years of stoppage when the Dragon Age Inquisition was released back in 2014.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released on October 31, and prior to that, the early impressions of the game look great, as the early previews were mostly positive.
Similarly, today, a new report says that the game’s preorders are solid and within the expectations of the company.
Why it matters: This suggests that the game has great hype, and the launch of the game will be up to the mark
While the early previews of Dragon Age: The Veilguard showed a compelling story and up-to-par mechanics, the game was criticized for its combat and graphics.
Meanwhile, there were also concerns about Dragon Age Veilguard preorders. However, During EA’s Investors Day showcase, EA president Laura Miele gave insights about the game’s early performance, saying that there is strong demand.
Furthermore, the president also put light on the previews of Veilguard, highlighting EA’s potential for incorporating depth into the story, characters, and world design of the game. Similarly, EA’s Chief financial officer, Stuart Canfield, also noted that Dragon Age Veilguard preorders are within expectations.
Moreover, EA expects to see good financial results in FY 2025 because of high hopes for Dragon Age: The Veilguard and EA FC 25.
Nevertheless, it’s worth waiting to see the game launch and see if it lives to par with high sales, just like its predecessor. The game’s statistics on Steam are not impressive, as it stands at the 34th most wish-listed game on Steam and failed to climb into the top 100 Steam sellers.
Nonetheless, the RPG has many positive aspects, such as ditching the necessity of an EA launcher, skipping micro transactions, and having a price of less than $70.However, the title state at the launch will define its ultimate success.
