Dawnwalker Will Learn From Witcher 3 Mistakes, Dev Says

The upcoming RPG, The Blood Of Dawnwalker has caught everyone’s attention, and No Rest For The Wicked designer is no exception.
The Designer praised the innovative take of this AAA studio, and given it has veterans of Witcher 3, the developer hopes that unlike Witcher 3, the developers will put more effort into the combat.
The full gameplay reveal of the title is slated for the summer of 2025.

While there are many RPG makers, CDPR is one of the beloved ones because of its expertise in making worthy RPG titles like The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077. However, a new emerging talent caught everyone’s eye, as the Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves showcased an intriguing trailer of its first RPG, The Blood Of Dawnwalker.

As it comes from a highly professional team like the The Witcher 3 director, the expectations are sky-high for the title. Recently, an RPG veteran showed interest in the title. Thomasmahler, the designer of No Rest for the Wicked, said some inspiring words for the title.

The designer said that it is quite a time to see an interesting take from a AAA studio, and I hope that the team will put more work into making the combat and gameplay better. Given that The Witcher 3 has a better storyline line, it failed to deliver engaging combat.

The Witcher 3 is among the biggest names in the RPG niche; however, players highly complain of weak core combat mechanics. Given Blood Of Dawnwalker is from the director of Witcher 3, it has a good chance of following the Witcher 3 footsteps while also renovating the weak points.

The Blood Dawnwalker is an upcoming Dark open-world fantasy RPG made in Unreal Engine 5. While the trailer was recently released, the gameplay is set to be revealed this summer 2025.

CDPR already confirmed that it’s working on The Witcher 4, but it takes a long time to arrive—it might be in 2026 or 2027—so The Blood Of Dawnwalker is a great surprise for fans to satisfy their cravings before The Witcher 4. While the game has no release date revealed, it might be released this year because games do not take a long time to arrive after the reveal of gameplay.
