While there’s nothing official, there are quite a few rumors regarding Xbox Next-gen hardware. Some predict its release dates, such as Ghost Of Hope, who is a Call of Duty insider, recently stated that the Xbox Next-gen console will arrive by 2026 and be named Xbox Prime.
However, Xbox itself has provided a teaser of the console. Sarah Bond, an Xbox executive, said in an interview that the Xbox Next-gen console will be the biggest technical leap ever seen in hardware history. This suggests that Xbox has big plans for its upcoming console.
On the other hand, Xbox is also planning a Handheld that will deliver power equivalent to the Xbox Series S; however, it is still far from its release.
All in all, While the current status of Xbox hardware is not appealing because of declining sales, it appears that the gaint has long-term plans for a resurgence in the hardware side with its next-gen console and a handheld.
That said, the company is currently accelerating the multiplatform strategy to boost up its revenue with Senue Saga Hellblade 2, Forza Horizon 5, Halo, Gears of War, and others planned for PS5 and Nintendo Switch release.
