Threads Adding New Features To Retain Users

Meta Threads was created due to restrictions implemented by Elon Musk, which limited the number of daily posts that could be viewed.

However, Meta Threads started declining rapidly, with 8 million active users by the end of July, which is around 82 percent less than its peak.

Furthermore, in a new post, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that Meta Threads are getting some new features this week.

These new features include a mention button for mentioning someone’s account in your threads.

Similarly, it will allow users to share a Threads post to your instagram DM’s, and users can also add alt text to photos and videos of your posts.

Moreover, the CEO also said that the much-awaited update, such as a search feature for content and a web client, is also coming in the next few weeks.

In addition, Meta Threads has previously added some enchanting features, such as a translation feature and a following feed.

Meanwhile, a new report by CNN suggested that Meta Threads is struggling to keep users while with the new launch, people are spending 19 mins average time in the app. Now, the time is dropped significantly, getting around 3 mins average time in the app.
