While Warner Bros has had disappointments with the failure of Suicide Squad and the cancellation of its Wonder Woman game, there is still a ray of hope as there’s some good follow-up. As spotted by X User Timur222, Warner Bros Boston is working on an unannounced IP that is set to launch this year.

Like Rocksteady and others, Warner Bros Boston is a studio under Warner Bros. This studio has developed massive multiple role playing games including Asheron’s Call in 1999, The Lords of The Rings Online in 2007, and Dungeons and Dragons Online in 2006. Given that all its projects are role-playing titles, we can assume that the upcoming unannounced IP will be a role-playing game like the previous ones.
Meanwhile, the LinkedIn profile of Brandon Mararia, Game Design Lead at Warner Bros Boston, an unannounced IP listing that highlights the work on quests and narrative elements, and player customization, further confirms that it’s an RPG title. Moreover, the Lead has started working on this project in May 2023.
While these details are scarce, the release timeline of 2025 is satisfactory, as there will be an announcement for the title in the coming months. After the financial losses because of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, this new role-playing game will be a great chance for Warner Bros to recoup all of its losses.
That said, Warner Bros’ other studio, Rocksteady, is also reportedly working on a new Batman game set in the Batman Arkham verse, which some reports say is PS5/PS6 exclusive. Also, there is a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy that is in development.
