Bokeh Game Studio released its ambitious dark action-adventure title, Slitterhead, on November 8. While the game has great elements like Story, world world-building, it has received mixed reviews on Steam due to being clunky and repetitive content.

However, today, the game designer Keiichiro Toyama, who is the creator of Siren and Silent Hill, revealed a mystery behind the development of the title. In an interview with Denfaminicogamer, the designer said that Slitterhead came out of a prototype for the successor of Siren.

Sony was interested in the revival of Siren; however, the company wants it to be a AAA title. Meanwhile, the designer believed that there are many titles that are labeled as horror but horror and AAA titles are not compatible.

Therefore, Toyama started a big-budget project based on a “Siren-like concept. Following this, various circumstances led to his departure from Sony Japan, but he kept the idea, which led to the production of Slitterhead.

Siren is one of the scariest horror games and the last installment was, Siren 2, which was released back in 2006. So, the fans who want to get a feel of this nostalgic game should visit Slitterhead, as it has the DNA of Siren.
