The 2025 State of Play has surpassed the records of all the previous ones. Through Steam Charts, we have discovered that the 2025 State of Play has received the highest peak of concurrent viewers of all-time. It has reached the milestone of over 200k concurrent viewers.
Meanwhile, not only does it have the highest number of concurrent viewers, but also the State of Play derived the highest watch time hours in Sony’s history. The collective statistics of the event include watch time of 1.96M Hours, and 1.8M Average Viewers and all of these figures are highest in history.
The peak was achieved because a whopping 1000 channels of co-streamers have covered the State of Play bringing massive number of audiences to it. All in all, it will be a massive checkpoint for the forthcoming State of Play events to surpass.
That said, the games that contributed to the virality of State of Play 2025 include big releases like Borderlands 4 and Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake.
