After God of War Ragnarok, everyone wondered what the studio’s next project could be. However, a leaker seems to confirm what is going to be announced for Santa Monica. Jeff Grubb, a reliable insider, says that God of War Remasters are real and set to be announced near the occasion of the 20th Anniversary Exhibit, which is scheduled for March 15.
The Anniversary has been a celebration event since the origination of God of War in 2005 for PlayStation 2, and hence, March 2025 will mark the 20th year of celebration for Kratos.
It is worth noting that reports say that it is not a single remaster; instead, all of the God of War trilogy, including God of War, God of War 2, and God of War 3 will be remastered.
Hence, after all that long waiting, it’s only a month, and we finally saw a glimpse of the young Kratos in Greece. With the announcement as early as next month, we can predict that the God of War Trilogy Remaster release will be sometime in 2025.
Although these will be remastered, we will not see any new gameplay improvements in mechanics and elements. However, the graphics of the titles will undergo a massive overhaul.
However, we expect that it will be a PS5 pro-enhanced title at launch, which means that we will see the young Kratos in high resolutions like 4K.
Fans who have long demanded to play Young Kratos in Greek on their current generation of Sony console PS5 will finally breathe a sigh of relief after the remaster reveal.
Apart from this, we also previously reported that the next God of War is not moving away from Egyptian mythology but is instead returning to Greece, the mythology from which Kratos originated. It will be a prequel and revolves around Kratos’s relationship with his father, Zeus.
