While both Nvidia and AMD are bringing their next gen graphics card, Nvidia is the first which reveal its RTX 50 Blackwell series lineup at CES 2025 In January, including RTX 5070, 5080, and 5090, which is top of a line variant.
The RTX 5090 graphics card starts at $2000 USD and is set to launch today. Given that it will quickly become out of cost, many are looking to get it on the launch date. We have discovered something interesting: the first RTX 5090 Founders Edition unit is sold out for $2,329 USD.

The Founder Edition has the highest demand since it is the variant that Nvidia designed specifically with a factory overclock, allowing for the top performance among the other variants. The Founders Edition’s build quality and design are also superior to those of others.
It is sold out on Proshop, and it currently lists some of the other variants like ASUS GeForce RTX 5090 ROG Astral OC, PNY GeForce RTX 5090 Triple Fan OC, ASUS GeForce RTX 5090 TUF, and others. So, if you want to preorder, quickly book your slots, as it will get sold out very soon.
Other retailers where it can bought are Amazon, Nvidia, Newsegg, and Best Buy. However, we suggest checking the stocks before making a purchase.
While RTX 5090 is currently the most powerful GPU in the world, we recently found out that it still needs AI technologies like DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation to get decent Performance. In rasterization performance, it cannot produce 60 FPS in demanding titles like Alan Wake 2 in full ray tracing native 4K.
All in all, it is still powerful enough to produce high frames when ray tracing is turned off because ray tracing needs AI features. The rasterization performance is 33% higher than that of RTX 4090, and with AI, its performance is twice that of the graphics card.
Whereas if you are looking for a budget option for the RTX 50 series, look for RTX 5080, which has an MSRP of $999. However, the stock of every RTX 50 series is tight, so grab it as soon as possible.
