Final Fantasy is the biggest fantasy RPG franchise of Square Enix. The latest installment Final Fantasy 16 was also a worthwhile launch. However, today we have discovered something that fans highly await.
According to this rumor, Square Enix is now looking to treat Final Fantasy 15 the way done in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The Final Fantasy 15 remake is reportedly in development and like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, it is overhauling it to the max, appearing as an entirely new version of the game.
Meanwhile, lying on the core root of the title, it is also adding new things including, new characters, new playable areas, a lot of 2d cinematics, and much more.
On the far side, Final Fantasy 15 Remake will also have DLCs included in the main story allowing for more content for fans, making the worth of the remake more appealing. However, Square Enix is looking to remove online items from the title.
That said, there are some details revealed in the rumor so it’s worth waiting to see what the developmental status is and when it will be announced and released.
All in all, Final Fantasy 15 was released back in 2016 and was recognized with the Award For Best Role-Playing Game. The game’s story, world, and level design all are praised. Hence, the remake will bring a smile to the faces of the original game’s fans.
However, given it’s a rumor, it should not be considered an official confirmed report and only be taken with a grain of salt.
Nevertheless, we also reported that Square Enix is looking to port Final Fantasy 16 on the Xbox Series in the middle of 2025 followed by a Final Fantasy 7 remake later in the later days of 2025.
