AMD RX 9000 Series Price Reportedly Kills Nvidia RTX 50 Series

Upon the release of the Nvidia next-gen RTX 50 Blackwell series, the insights for the AMD next-gen RX 9000 series were highly awaited. Today, we have discovered something very interesting.

According to a leak from IT Home, AMD is launching RX 9000 at a very competitive, sharp price, which will trouble Nvidia and even its own GPU, RX 7800XT. While AMD already planned to stop production in the third quarter of 2025, it wants to stop production as early as January. After this leak, we understand that AMD wants to cease production of RX 7800XT because a new competitor is on its way to outperform this GPU.

Meanwhile, a leaker, Moore’s Law is Dead, previously said that AMD RX 9070XT will have a price tag of $599, so it is worth waiting to see what the real price will be. If it’s $599, it’s really a competitive price, given that the Nvidia RTX 5070Ti is priced at $749, significantly more expensive than AMD.

Furthermore, the price of RX 7800XT is 3,499 yaun or 479$ and if AMD RX 9070XT is priced at $599, then it will easily affect the sales of the old-gen card, given that the specs of AMD RX 9070XT will be quite better as it will be a next-gen card.

Meanwhile, AMD RX 9070 might be at an MSRP of $499 that’s a close match with RX 7800XT in terms of price, and with the advanced AI upscaling and rasterisation performance, the next-gen RX 9070 could easily outperform the old model.

That said, it is a really interesting move from AMD to price RX 9000 series cards aggressively to outcompete other competitors and make this series a successful one. It is worth noting that the AMD RX 7000 series was not accompanied by what was expected in terms of sales.

All in all, the AMD RX 9000 series already looks like a budget option for gamers, considering the specs, which are RDNA 4 Architecture, which performs impressively in upscaling, as seen in PS5 Pro. Meanwhile, AMD RX 9070XT specs include Navi 48 core, 2.97 GHZ, 16 GDDR6 memory, and 256-bit memory bandwidth.

AMD announced the launch of the RX 9000 series in March 2025, so after all those leaks, anticipation is sky-high.
